Samuel Rees, Professor at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, developed a maker in residency program in Buinho. During this time Samuel created interactive dioramas with microcontrollers and found robotic toys, repurposing their electronics, motors, gearing, and chassis to create narrative environments. The diorama, built using organic matter in contrast to the robotics, aimed to respond directly to the surroundings and the spectators. Samuel also created a 3D model of a shark exhibited in a local pub of Messejana.
