Invisible Cartographies

A European project bringing together art, citizen science and inclusive learning. Students, educators and artists collect environmental data — light, sound, temperature, presence — with low-cost sensors and turn it into sensory maps and artworks.

Buinho leads the art and citizen sensing strand and the project's communication. It develops the sensor nodes, the micro:bit programming extensions and the sensory mapping activities, and hosts artist residencies in Messejana working with students from the Aljustrel school cluster.
