With its European Solidarity Corps Quality Label, Buinho hosts European volunteers who take part in the daily life of the FabLab, the artist residencies, the educational activities and the Messejana community. Since 2022, hosting has been funded through annual volunteering projects.
Before that, in the Precious Plastic Alentejo project (2021–2023), also under the European Solidarity Corps, European volunteers worked at the Messejana Community Recycling Centre — born from the machines built in the Erasmus+ Precious Plastic project — to open it up to the neighbouring parishes.
Youth exchanges and youth worker training take place under the Erasmus+ Youth Accreditation, presented on its own page.
