A partnership between the Corsican tiers-lieux network Dà Locu and Buinho, approved in 2026, that brings together the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities and the upcycling of food waste — orange peel, olive stones, coffee grounds. Two remote, peripheral regions, Corsica and Alentejo, work on the same problem with the same tools.
The project has three strands: hands-on biofabrication workshops in Corsica and Alentejo, where young people turn waste into products useful to their communities; expert mobilities and two youth exchanges, for many their first European mobility; and open-source resources, so that other youth workers and youth organisations can use the method.
Buinho brings digital fabrication and the building of low-cost machines, its experience with biomaterials, and Erasmus+ mentoring for the partner, which is taking part in the programme for the first time.
